| The Caravan system has become one of the more unusual parts of the fifth Expedition because players are not locked into a single outcome. In ARC Raiders, a player can work toward a full departure, stop partway through, or prepare for the reset by considering how deposited resources will be converted. This is also worth remembering for players who spend time collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints, since blueprints and other valuable items compete for the same limited inventory and economic resources. The fifth Expedition ends on September 29, 2026, and Expeditions will then pause until early 2027. Because of that long break, Ermal Vouchers give unfinished Caravan progress a useful afterlife. Instead of forcing every player to depart, the system allows remaining value to be converted into a currency that can later be traded through Ermal or sold for Coin. U4N can be considered alongside other player-economy resources when planning purchases and inventory management, but the Caravan decision remains separate from those outside options. Why Ermal Vouchers Were Added The main purpose of Ermal Vouchers is to protect the value of unfinished Caravan contributions during the Expedition pause. A Caravan requires players to deposit items as they progress through its tracker. Those items can have meaningful value during ordinary gameplay, so losing their entire value simply because a player did not finish the tracker would make the final Expedition deadline much more restrictive. The voucher conversion addresses that problem. When the Caravan resets, partially completed progress is automatically converted into Ermal Vouchers based on the value already deposited. Players therefore have an alternative to completing the Expedition simply to avoid losing their previous investment. This makes the final days of the fifth Expedition more flexible. A player can look at the current Caravan progress and decide whether the remaining rewards justify further spending. Spending Vouchers Through Ermal Ermal is the Nomadic Envoy located in Speranza, and his shop is the main destination for Ermal Vouchers. His offers can contain several types of rewards, including weapon packages, crafting resources, cosmetics, and blueprints. Players can use vouchers alongside the other requirements connected with Ermal's trading system. This makes vouchers particularly interesting for players who prefer useful items over a full departure reset. However, Ermal's inventory is not permanently fixed. His offers rotate, so the value of holding vouchers can depend on what is available when the player checks his shop. Players who do not see anything useful can choose another route. Ermal Vouchers can be sold for standard Coin, giving the player a more flexible form of currency. What Full Caravan Completion Provides The other side of the decision is completing the Caravan and departing. The fifth Expedition's departure rewards include the Zenith Outfit, permanent additional stash storage, skill points, and other progression benefits. These rewards cannot simply be recreated by converting partial progress into vouchers. The trade-off is straightforward. The player gives up the items deposited into the Caravan and sends the Raider through the Expedition departure process. This means the Caravan choice is less about finding a universally correct answer and more about deciding what kind of value matters to the account. Looking at the Costs Before Contributing More The final days of an Expedition can create pressure to finish what has already been started. That pressure is worth avoiding. If a Caravan is nearly complete, it may make sense to calculate the remaining requirements and compare them with the rewards attached to departure. If a Caravan is still far from completion, continuing to deposit valuable resources may be harder to justify for a player who does not care about the exclusive rewards. If your priority is... It simply shows how each route connects to a different player objective. The Frozen Trail Timing The Caravan decision also takes place just before another major content transition. Frozen Trail is scheduled for October 8 and introduces Pendola Pass along with new content and objectives. That timing gives players another reason to think about what they want in their inventory after the Expedition reset. Resources spent on a last-minute Caravan push are resources that cannot be used elsewhere. Players who have been building up ARC Raiders BluePrints and preparing equipment for future content may therefore want to review their storage before making additional Caravan contributions. Turning Leftover Value Into Something Useful The most important thing to remember is that unfinished Caravan progress still has a defined outcome. When the fifth Expedition closes, the value already invested into a partial Caravan becomes Ermal Vouchers rather than simply disappearing. Those vouchers can then be used through Ermal's offers or converted into standard Coin. That gives players a practical way to carry some Caravan value beyond the Expedition reset, even though they will not receive the full departure reward package. For players who decide to keep their inventory flexible after the reset, they may later choose to buy ARC Raiders Materials when their upcoming progression needs become clearer, rather than spending those resources under deadline pressure. | |||
