به گزارش گل، مورینیو در مورد لوییز به صجبت پرداخت و احتمال انتقال وی به بارسلونا را غیرممکن دانست.ماه پیش خبر پیشنهاد 30 میلیونی به لوییز منتشر شد،.اما مورینیو پس از پیروزی 2-0 چلسی برابر میلان، به تمجید از مدافع وسط 26 ساله چلسی پرداخت و تاکید کرد که این ملی پوش برزیلی در برنامه های وی جای دارد.مورینیو چنین گفت:" لوییز بازگشت مقتدرانه ای داشت و ما می خواهیم از کیفیت وی بهره مند شویم. وی هنگامی که توپ را از عقب رو به جلو حرکت می دهد، اعتماد به نفس بالایی دارد. او می تواند توانایی های دفاعی خود را بهبود بخشد؟ البته که می تواند، اما این وظیفه من نیز هست که برای بهبود بازی بازیکنانم تلاش کنم ."
